ARIZONA OUTLAWS

The Arizona Outlaws are a fictional baseball team that I made up for an identity design class (GD 466) at Michigan State University. None of this is real and is all made up and designed by me.

The Trademark

With the trademark, I wanted to create something unique in the Major League Baseball landscape while still maintaining the vibe of what other Major League Baseball teams are doing. I also wanted to create a vibe of this team being based in the “wild west” and representing that vibe in the logo.

Stationary Media

The first step of creating my brand was to create the stationary media the Outlaws. This included the buisness cards, envelope, and the letterhead. This part of the brand design included a lot of research as to what other MLB teams do and having to make my media fit that business standard of what stationary media looks like.

Brochure

For the second part of creating the Outlaws brand we were given the task of creating a brochure. I wanted to create something that would be able to be grabbed at the stadium. One thing I really wanted to create is a piece of physical media fans would want keep and hold onto because it was cool and fun, but also be something that has important information.

Packaging

When thinking of what to do for packaging, I had the idea of doing a season ticket package. I wanted to do something similar to what NFL teams do for their season ticket holders. When researching, I found no sign of any MLB teams that do season ticket packages, which I though would be a unique thing for me to do with my brand.

For the 4th part of creating my brand we were tasked with creating a 2 part print ad series. And I thought what better thing to do than create opening day ad graphics for the Outlaws

Jersey

For the final project for my brand, I decided to wrap it all up with designing the Outlaws jersey. I wanted to encompass the vibe of the Outlaws while still following brand standards for the MLB itself
